Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Item(s) returned for refund or exchange will be inspected for condition and any costs incurred to return the item(s) to original condition (e.g. packaging, fuel system flushing, replacement oil, filters, replacement of wear parts, cosmetic damage, labour etc.) will be for the customer’s account.
Internet purchases may be returned within 7 days at customer’s cost for a full refund of the purchase price, subject to goods being unused and in the same condition and packaging as which they left our premises.
Warranty & Inspections
Please ensure you keep warranty certificates, compliance certificates / certificates of compliance (where applicable), invoices and other supporting documents related to the purchase of any SINO Plant products, together in a safe place.
All item(s) sold are covered under a 3 (three) month material/workmanship defect warranty from date of collection at branch.
Items must be returned to the branch where collected, and at customer’s costs, for evaluation. Call out costs to site are not covered and must be paid prior to a technician being sent for evaluation. In the event of a warranty being repudiated, the customer accepts responsibility for repair and transport costs, including interbranch transport costs, if applicable.
Defects caused by use of dirty or incorrect fuel, accidental damage, negligence, misuse, theft, fire, abuse, neglect, incorrect assembly by customer, modifications, item(s) used contrary to their intended purpose, improper service and maintenance, unauthorized repairs, improper tightening of bolts/nuts, improper wiring, damages during transport, lightning and power surges, are not covered under warranty. Parts subject to wear and tear, starters, alternators, voltage regulators and batteries are not covered under warranty.
Service & Maintenance
The customer is responsible to ensure that service / maintenance is carried out timeously and correctly. This can be done by SINO Plant or the customer who has to obtain permission in writing from SINO Plant prior to carrying out the service / maintenance.
Generator Purchases
Generators are to be installed by a qualified electrician who must issue an electrical compliance certificate / certificate of compliance, a copy of which must accompany the warranty certificate.
Liability
SINO Plant or its staff will not be liable for any direct, consequential, incidental, indirect, punitive, special damages, or loss of profit arising out of or in any way connected with the use of, or failure of these items.
